Lee Adams works full time in the country music industry. As VP of National Promotion at Broken Bow Records, she has been part of the successful careers of singers Jason Aldean, Craig Morgan and Dustin Lynch. Lee has been a part of the promotions team for over 13 years, had a hand in 17 #1 songs, and two “songs of the year.”
In Your Dreams is her current novel. In it she explores
living and loving, even while dying, and how it’s never too late to make a significant
difference in another person’s life. Lee is currently querying literary agents in search of the perfect partner to bring this story to life.
Donor Girl, written under her given name of Lilli, was inspired after her experience as a living organ donor. In 2006, her sister called to let her know that her husband was on the kidney transplant list, waiting for a kidney. The wait would take 5-7 years and Dave needed it within one year. The family decided to get tested and Lee’s medical tests came back as a match. Lee looked on the internet and in book stores to find books about living organ donors and couldn’t find many. Some members of her medical team and family suggested she write her story.
Lee's first novel, Strawberry Wine, is the story of five friends who grow up together until right before their senior year, they endure a horrific event that tears them apart and threatens to destroy the rest of their lives. Ten years later, they come back together to heal old wounds and reaffirm their friendship. It’s a story of friendship, forgiveness, and courage.
Her second novel, Unlikely Family, is the story of four teenagers who find themselves alone and homeless due to no fault of their own. They band together and with the help of two adults, form their own unlikely family. They survive adolescence, overcome adversity and find friendship, success and love.
Lee grew up on the outskirts of Baltimore MD. She graduated from Shippensburg University of PA with a B.A. in Communications; Radio/TV/Journalism. Before joining the record industry, Lee spent ten years working in radio as an on-air personality.
Every year since her kidney donation, Lee has spearheaded a benefit to raise money for the University of Maryland’s Living Organ Donor Clinic. This clinic offers free follow up care to the UMMC’s living organ donors. She has also participated in the Baltimore National Kidney Fund Walk and Rappel and volunteers at the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland.
Lee has been married since 1989 to Randy Kuhn, owner of Pictures Plus Photography in Waynesboro, PA and O’Roke Photography in Martinsburg, WV.
